Summer Camp

Summer Camp at the Farm 2021

Due to Covid-19 the Educational Farm at Joppa Hill is offering a modified version of our Summer Camp. We will be adhering to the NH State Summer Day Camp Guidelines, CDC Guidelines, as well as the ACA guidelines.

The guidelines for summer camps urge frequent hand washing, social distancing, and screening of both staff and campers for symptoms of COVID-19. Children will be screened during drop-off, and adults dropping off should not enter the camp, the guidelines say.  Camps are asked to adjust drop-off procedures so that there are no lines and that social distancing can be maintained during drop-off.
Campers will be divided into small groups, which are maintained through the camp session in order to minimize exposure.
Camp will be conducted outdoors as often as possible, and groups will be kept separate indoors during bad weather. Campers’ equipment — like lunches or changes of clothes — must be clearly labeled and kept away from other camper’s equipment. Campers and adults will be asked to wear masks in certain situations, including during check-in.
If a child or staff-member tests positive for the virus, the camp must notify all families and staff.

Agriculture Educational Links and Projects

We are sharing links designed for children focusing on livestock specific projects including recipes, gardening, and farming including cattle, horses and pigs.

Recipes from the Garden

We love to garden, especially with our kids.  They love to see an actual fruit or veggie grow from seed to plant, to something they can eat!

Gardening

Inspire students' natural curiosity and wonder with hands-on learning experiences and inquiry-based exploration.

Farming

This special webpage contains 15 printable pages designed for elementary and preschool age children focusing on livestock specific projects like cattle, horses and pigs.
