In an increasingly fast paced and modernized world, most people have lost their connection to the land, and to the source of their food. As big business farms push for greater production at a lower cost, more chemicals, antibiotics, pesticides, herbicides, growth hormones and genetic modifications are needed to keep both plants and animals "producing".
At the Educational Farm at Joppa Hill, we believe it is possible to farm in balance with nature to produce healthy, wholesome milk without the use of chemicals, antibiotics or unnatural conditions. Our cows graze all day on green pastures, and their diets are supplemented with good quality grain and hay.
Our registered, purebred Ayrshire cows are milked twice a day, and fresh milk is bottled each morning for our customers. Cream naturally rises to the top.
Sorry, we do not sell cream or butter separately.
