Snowshoe at the Farm with the Bedford Land Trust

The Bedford Land Trust is hosting a day of snowshoeing at the Educational Farm at Joppa Hill at 174 Joppa Hill Rd.  For the second year the Land Trust would like to invite you to explore the trails behind the farm on your snowshoes or in your hiking boots.  Please join us on Sunday February 19th, from 1-4.  We will offer 2 guided walks one at 1:15 and one at 2:30.  You can also feel free to set out on your own. There will be hot chocolate in the Discovery room at the barn after we return.  The Bedford Land Trust is always looking to increase the public’s awareness of the open space in Bedford and the opportunity to enjoy it.  The Bedford Land Trust holds easements on 9 properties in Bedford which protects them forever from development.  The Bedford Land Trust is a nonprofit locally supported organization which depends on the generosity of the public to continue their work.  Please consider becoming a member and visit the website at  www.bedfordlandtrust.org.  No rain date.

We are now selling farm fresh eggs!  $3.00 per. dozen.  Stop by the farm during open hours to pick up a dozen.

Winter Farm Camp
February Fun Farm Camp is a special opportunity for children ages 8-12 to learn more about the life on our farm in winter. Join us for the vacation week of Feb 27- March 2, daily 9-4. You will be amazed to discover how active animals continue to be (both domestic and wild) during this season of the year.

Each day we will explore a different aspect of our Farm's life: its animals and its gorgeous winter habitats of field and forest. Plan to go outside each day as well as participate in activities in our heated Discovery Room. We'll help with daily farm chores that maintain the health of our cows, horses, chickens, sheep, goats, pigs, and bunnies. Engaging projects will help our campers discover the wonders of the season. Campers should bring their own lunches, beverages and snacks and be prepared to be outside with appropriate warm clothing and boots. Cost for the full week per camper is $125.   Enrollment is limited. To register, Click here
