Counselor-in-Training Program (CIT)
The Educational Farm at Joppa Hill also offers a program for young adults who will be 15 or 16 years of age before the first day of camp. This unpaid program is designed for those who would like to continue their camp experience and become better caregivers, leaders, and potential staff members in the future. Preference in the selection will be given to previous campers and farm volunteers, but others are encouraged to apply.
CITs attend camp from 8:45-4:15, Monday through Friday, and should be available for all 8 weeks of camp.
Each CIT is expected to demonstrate self-motivation and independence. We offer guidance and leadership to help each CIT discover and acquire new skills needed to become full staff members at The Educational Farm. Applicants for CIT positions should apply BY MARCH 1, as spaces are limited. Applicants should be serious and looking forward to a summer of fun with peers, adults and campers.
An interview will be required. For more information, please contact the office at 472-4724, or via e-mail at Info.EFJH@comcast.net. Please click here to print and mail the application below.
